Bookish Ames

Eloisa has been writing Sir Phillip for the past year when he asks her to come meet him to see if they would possibly suit enough to get married. You see, Phillip lost his wife the year before (who was Eloise's cousin and why she started writing him in the first place) and he has two children that need a happy mother. Eloise fits the bill he's thinking. She's 28, a spinster, so she's probably desperate to get married. Except when Eloise shows up on his door step, she's beautiful and not at all what he was expecting. And despite getting off to a rocky start, Eloise and Phillip continue to see if they suit. Until her brothers show up that is. LOL That scene where her 4 brothers ganged up on him was pretty dang funny.

So what bothered me was the romance between Eloise and Phillip. It was lacking in my opinion. They kissed a few times but I don't know, something was off. But then Phillip saved the day when he realized WHY he loved Eloise.
